| VILT (Virtual Instructor-Led Training)
This CE program is open to all Acadian employees and non-employees, regardless if you are NREMT or Texas certified only. These courses are conveniently designed to meet NREMT requirements and satisfy most Texas CE requirements, as well. Employees are encouraged to first attend an iLinc Orientation Session in order to learn about this new process prior to taking a VILT course. Non-employees will be given the Orientation session after receiving access from Heidi Luquette. NREMT medics who will need to recertify in 2013 and on; all the courses can now be attended via VILT (Virtual Instructor Led Training).
After course meetings, the only remaining component to complete your re-certification is the skills portion that involves one 8hr Skills Session:
- Medical - 1hr
- Pediatrics - 1hr
- Trauma - 3hrs
- Airway - 3hrs

To complete the skills session, the medic must show proficiency in the following skills:
- Basic airways with proper BVM ventilation rates (incl. Combi-Tube)
- Adult Intubation with Bougie
- Nasal intubation with Nasoscope
- Needle Cricothyrotomy
- King Airway
- CPAP
- Rapid Trauma Assessment
- Sager Traction Splint
- Tourniquet use
- Chest Decompression
- Adult intubation with spinal alignment
- Intraosseous (EZ-IO and manual)
- Ped Airway (basic and advanced)
- Emergency childbirth
- Broselow tape exercises
