EMT- Paramedics are true health care professionals providing the highest level of care available outside of a hospital. Paramedics work under the supervision of a physician using written protocols or on-line guidance to extend advanced level care to the sick and injured.
In non emergency situations, the Paramedic provides safe transport to care destinations and supervises the activities of EMT-Basic providers on the ambulance. Paramedic s also work in the offshore environment, aeromedical transport and on critical care ground transport ambulances.
